Job Description
Large Heat Treater in Southeastern Wisconsin seeks a skilled heat treat operator.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Load and unload ovens, wire thermo-couples as needed.
  • Read, understand and follow heat treat specifications.
  • Program furnace runs, maintain specific requirements as designated by customer
  • Ensure quenching is properly executed if required
  • Ensure all post heat treat testing is performed as required by customer
  • Successful completion of charts and certifications
  • Physically perform the duties of this position including using hand and foot controls; lifting, pulling, and pushing. Employees should never lift more than they are physically able to handle safely.
  • Ability to work alone and professionally in a team environment.
  • Perform work in various physical positions including standing, bending, kneeling and reaching.
  • Work at heights including climbing ladders and using man-lifts
  • Wear PPE including safety boots, safety glasses and hearing protection. A respirator may also be required.
  • Participate in process development and continuous improvement programs and teams as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Minimum 2 years furnace programming experience
  • Operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.
