Role and Responsibilities
The Press Operator is responsible for operating press machines and equipment to print images from a raised printing plate to meet the production goal established in a safe way complying with all company safety policies and ensuring that all products manufactured meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and performance standards.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently. On occasion, lifting of weight exceeding 50 pounds may be required. Must be able to operate in all areas of the Plant. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The Press Operator is responsible for operating press machines and equipment to print images from a raised printing plate to meet the production goal established in a safe way complying with all company safety policies and ensuring that all products manufactured meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and performance standards.
- Operate press to print designs, logos, lettering on flexible plastic film.
- Set up, adjust, and mount plates for a single or multi-color press job and mounting plates for inline press.
- Read and comprehend production schedule, work orders, manuals, and performance specifications, to establish proper operation of press equipment.
- Ensure finished product meet the specifications established by Quality and the Production departments.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety rules established by the Company and maintain work area clean of obstacles, debris, and loose material.
- Record in log book quality control, production, and/or maintenance issues and/or information related to the operation and/or production on the press.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience operating flexographic print equipment
- Experience mounting plates or operating a slitter is a plus
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.
- Strong physical stamina and strength with the ability to lift 50 or more pounds consistently.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
