Position Overview
Provide technical, functional, and strategic support to business areas regarding numerous key organizational or department software applications. Support may include but is not necessarily limited to system selection and installation, documenting policies and procedures, testing and troubleshooting applications, identifying and implementing solutions to system incidents, providing training support, implementing and testing system upgrades and maintenance, updating parameters, assist in developing and testing business continuity plans, identifying and implementing enhancements, and identifying new technologies that will best meet organizational needs.
Candidate Profile
Skills are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: considerable skills in application software support, modifying, installation, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting; considerable skill in researching and evaluating computer software; effective customer service skills; skill in personal computer operation and ability to learn and operate a variety of software programs; and skill in providing technical advice and instruction to non-technical staff.
Education:
Some college or Associate Degree (AA) and/or vocational or technical school and/or specialized training or certification is prefered, or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
Requires a minimum of 1 year to 3 years of related experience.
Type of Skill and/or Licensing/Certification/Registration:
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite 2000-2013
Experience in the VB6, Crystal Reports, VBA, MS SQL, ORACLE DB, MySql
Experience in the MS Windows Platform
Experience with web development using HTML 5, Java, PHP and other frame work platforms
Solid skills in Database installation and maintenance, tuning and capacity planning
Good concept on database design and programming
Mobile App development desirable with IOS and Android
Good technical knowledge and application experience across multiple IT platforms, development environments and applications.
Valid Wisconsin Drivers License; Transportation for business use is required.
