Job Description
Universal Electronics, Inc. has over 30 years experience in the EMS industry. Headquartered in our Whitewater, WI facility, Universal Electronics, Inc. supports over 50 customers and 500 printed circuit board assemblies and sub assemblies. We manufacture for customers in the medical, test equipment, industrial, agricultural, and scientific instrumentation.
Test Technician
This position is in our Whitewater, WI facility. This opportunity will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the component level. We have an opportunity on first and second shift. The successful candidate will report directly to Test Supervisor. They will also provide leadership to the team who is responsible for the direct support of manufacturing.

Test Technician

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies to component level.
- Assist testers with equipment setup and operation
- Training Test Department Personnel to develop skills that are required
- Prepare analysis reports
- Assist Test Engineer with test fixture assembly
- Inform Test Engineering of defective test fixtures, test equipment and procedures.
- Update SPC, FPY and On Job databases in accordance with UEI work instructions.
- Other tasks as deemed necessary by the Test Department Manager or appointed supervisors.
Required Skills, Experience:
- Associate Degree of Applied Science in Electronics or equivalent.
- Military training and experience in electronics.
- Previous experience in similar job or combination of the above requirements.
