Leadership is a particularly complicated topic that involves a wide variety of skills - tangible and intangible. Charisma is one of those attributes that people discuss and subconsciously (or actively) seek in leaders, but its importance and effect is often misunderstood or ignored. Ronald Riggio, Ph.D., a Professor of Leadership and Organizational Psychology at the Kravis Leadership Institute at Claremont McKenna College, explains to Tim Muma the role of charisma in leadership. He also examines some specific aspects of this "hard-to-gauge" trait and how it is used effectively.
