Getting Results
This program targets select employees and provides a roadmap for leadership and professional development. After a two-day seminar, groups of five individuals are formed and given an assignment involving an actual SSOE business problem or opportunity that the group must research and solve. After the group project is presented to senior management, the participants continue to meet for regular coaching sessions. This program takes a full year to complete.
Business Building by Design
This program is designed for those employees who participate in or have an impact on business development activities. Various sessions cover relationship building, sales strategy, the sales process, and proposal strategies. In addition to the individual sessions, a two-day conference is periodically hosted for all business development employees to network and share ideas.
Professional Roundtable Series
There are a number of roundtable sessions that are offered on a regular monthly or bi-monthly schedule. The sessions share lessons learned, review best practices, and gain insight form guest speakers and subject matter experts. Examples include: Department Manager Roundtable, Project Manager Roundtable, Women in Leadership Roundtable.

Despite high stress and anxiety levels that often accompany uncertain economic conditions, SSOE Group has managed to help its employees in living less stressful lives. In an awards ceremony, the Ohio Psychological Association (OPA) named SSOE one of four psychologically healthy workplaces. In order to be considered for this award, an application must be submitted to the OPA and a panel of OPA members must conduct a site visit. The workplace is evaluated on five areas: employee involvement, employee growth and development, health and safety, employee recognition and work-life balance.
Nashville Business Journal honored 20 finalists, who had to have an office in Middle Tennessee. The finalists were broken down into five categories, based on size, with one winner named in each category based on overall score. The companies were judged based on wellness programs for employees. Criteria included cultural commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, programming and intervention and reporting and analysis
