Company Overview
Are you looking for an extraordinary experience for your child? The teachers at Renaissance Child Development Center have been providing enriching programs for young children since 1973. Conveniently nestled in Milwaukee’s eastside/downtown area, Renaissance is the home to the most exceptional, enriching, and affordable childcare in the area. Organized over 30 years ago by a group of Milwaukee area families, Renaissance continues to carry out its mission of making outstanding teachers available to the its diverse community. Renaissance cares for children as young as 6 weeks up to the age of 12 years Monday-Friday 7am – 6:30pm. Renaissance has endured for over 30 years as a shining example of superior childcare in Milwaukee for many reasons, including:
  • Since Renaissance is a non-profit organization, the center has no owner; every penny that comes into the center is spent on the childcare services provided!
  • The “Boss” of Renaissance is the Board of Directors which is made up of parents at the center. In this way parents have direct control over the quality of the center. Parents on the board determine the policies and tuition prices and are responsible for setting the long term goals of the center. The parents REALLY are in charge!
  • Great Teachers: The number one goal at Renaissance is retaining excellent teachers. Renaissance is proud to say that many of its staff members have been with the center since the 1990’s and even the 1980’s. The staff is highly trained and views their careers at Renaissance as a lifelong commitment to teaching children.
  • Location: Renaissance has a prime location in Milwaukee convenient to both downtown and the east side.
  • Superior Facility: In addition to 6 classrooms Renaissance has a cafeteria and gymnasium. Renaissance also houses a huge 10,000 square foot playground professionally designed and landscaped as a beautiful park with gardens, climbing equipment and plenty of shade. While Renaissance is not a religious program, the facility is located in a beautiful church (St. Paul’s Episcopal Church).
  • Free meals: Renaissance provides infant formula, jar food, and infant cereal for babies. Renaissance also provides three meals a day for children ages one year and older (breakfast, hot lunch, & afternoon snack). All of this is included in the cost of tuition.
  • Transportation is available
