Company Overview
Milwaukee Irish Fest has grown into the largest Irish music and cultural festival in North America. Visitors from throughout the country and overseas travel to Milwaukee every August to participate in a celebration of all things Irish. Seventeen stages feature all traditions of Irish music and dance, and a large cultural village enriches our visitors’ knowledge of Irish culture. The festival has featured other Celtic performers, bringing the music of Scotland and Nova Scotia to our “Roots” stage. Both traditions of Ireland have been represented in cultural exhibits. Our 4,000 volunteers work to provide an average of 115,000 – 120,000 festival-goers with a total Irish cultural experience.

Although the festival is our hallmark event, Milwaukee Irish Fest is more than a festival.  We have a week-long Summer School prior to the Fest, a year-round music school, two wonderful choirs – a youth and children’s choir, and many family and community-based events. The Ward Irish Music Archives houses the largest collection outside of Dublin. The Irish Fest Foundation gives grants in our local community and beyond, reaching out to cultural and non-profit entities in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Our website further details activities and events, at www.irishfest.com.
