Company Overview
Grand Avenue Club is an intentional community for adults who have experienced mental illness and those who are eager to share their journey!

Grand Avenue Club's Mission is to provide people who have experienced mental illness with all the ingredients for a satisfying life-opportunities to get ready for work, paid employment, education, housing, as well as recreational and cultural opportunities. Program participation are "members," not clients or consumers. When people join the program, they are offered immediate membership in a community that needs and values their talents, interests, and abilities. Members and staff run the program together as peers and partners. The work that members do at the clubhouse increases their confidence and purposefulness and whets their appetites for paid employment.

Partnering with quality private sector employers, Grand Avenue Club develops paid positions for members in the community via its Transitional and Independent Employment Programs. Hundreds of members have had a paid employment experience via TE--and scores have moved on to competitive employment. The clubhouse supports members who seek additional training and education as well as housing. Open 365 days a year, Grand Avenue Club sponsors a Writers' Group, an Art Workshop, a Choir, a Theatre Workshop, exciting holiday programming, a Softball team and innumerable opportunities to partake of Milwaukee's cultural resources and sports teams!
