Company Overview
First National Bank of Hartford was chartered as a National Bank in 1907 and has operated continuously in Washington County since its inception. Our first office was on Main Street in Hartford. In 1970 we moved to our present location at 116 W. Sumner Street. The bank has continually adapted its physical facilities to reflect the direction of the banking industry and the needs of our customers. In 1989 we began offering non-bank investment services through FNB Hartford Investment Services, in 1992 we expanded our presence in Washington County by opening our first full service branch office in Slinger, and in 2000 we established a property, casualty, life and health insurance agency, FNB Hartford Insurance Services. The second full service branch was opened in Richfield in 2012. Our goal is to offer our customers opportunities for financial success and protection of their assets.

As of December 30, 2019 First National Bank became "Forte Bank" as part of our regular strategic planning initiatives, our board of directors and management team made the decision that a state charter would be better suited to our current business model, goals and objectives as a community bank. Converting away from a federal charter required the elimination of the word "National" in the bank's name.
