Serving Southern Inspired “from-scratch” cooking. Maxie’s is located at the corner of 68th Street and Fairview Avenue, immediately north of Interstate 94 and the 68thStreet off-Ramp. Maxie’s offers full-service bars and dining on two levels.

Maxie’s southern inspiration includes the “Low Country” cooking of the Carolinas, Creole and Cajun cooking of Louisiana, traditional slow-smoked southern barbeque, and southern comfort cooking of all kinds. We feature a raw bar serving fresh oysters and shrimp flown in 5 days a week from the some of the best fish purveyors on the east coast. Our bar offers a hand picked selection of quality wines, micro-brewed and imported beers, and top-shelf liquors. Maxie’s opens 6 days a week (closed Tuesdays) at 4pm featuring Milwaukee’s best Happy Hour and only Oyster Happy Hour!

Taking traditional old world ingredients and infusing fresh products and made-from-scratch techniques, France, Italy, England, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Scandinavia, Northern Africa and just a smattering of Asia are all represented on the Blue’s Egg menu.

Take a look and you’ll find these aren’t necessarily traditional meals. Rather, the menu blends the simplicity of old world ingredients, the timeless vision of immigrant cooking and the originality and sustainability of fresh concepts. We serve breakfast and lunch 6 days a week (Closed Tuesdays) from 7:00- 2:00.

Weekday lunch & weekend brunch offer crepes, our signature dishes and fantastic specials. We start serving our Happy Hour menu Tuesday -Saturday at 3:00. Dinner & dessert feature familiar flavors that are elevated with elegant presentations. Our dinner menu is in the spirit of Taste, Share & Pass. 

Our Bottle Shop is a unique feature to our restaurant, we share with our guests a variety of wine, beer and spirit selections at spectacular prices to enjoy in the restaurant or at home. Our Wine List is a winner of the Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator.
