Oconomowoc Residential Programs, Inc. (ORP) and its family of companies, including The Richardson School, provide specialized services and dignified care for children, adolescents and adults with disabilities. In operation since 1984, ORP oversees eight companies that each year serve more than 1,700 individuals from around the country, in facilities and community-based settings throughout Wisconsin and Indiana. The array of services includes a spectrum of supports to promote the ability of the people we serve to live as independently as possible in the community. Services include year-round education programs, community-based residential settings, community care services, treatment programs, and day services.

The Richardson School is a therapeutic day school located in your community that specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults who have diagnoses of developmental/neurological disabilities, and behavioral and emotional issues. The school strives not only to stabilize the students’ behavior in a therapeutic day school setting, but also to assist him/her to develop appropriate social and functional skills, and to thrive academically. The Richardson School serves students who have been unsuccessful in traditional educational settings, and whose behaviors may be acutely disruptive or unsafe. The goal is simple: To provide students the skills they need to function effectively and successfully, and return to their home school environment as soon as possible.
