Placon's growth into a total resource packaging provider began in 1966. The company originated as a privately held thermoformer in Madison, Wisconsin, and soon acquired a reputation for excellence in custom and stock packaging.

As the consumer goods industry evolved, Placon developed new multidimensional capabilities to serve brand marketers' emerging needs. Three decades later, Placon has grown into a full-service packaging resource with expertise in all phases of packaging, from creative ideation to contract packaging and distribution. Placon operates under an ISO 9001 certified quality-management system encompassing all aspects of the packaging process.

The company serves brand leaders in the household, hardware, personal care, over-the-counter medical, office supply and automotive aftermarket categories from its 300,000-square-foot business campus.
