The early years of a child’s life are very important. Early Intervention makes a difference in a child’s ability to reach their full potential. Every year over 5 million children under the age of 5 are at risk of developmental delays and disabilities. Here at Easter Seals, we know the importance of getting children off to the right start and emphasize early screening, identification and intervention. Easter Seals is the leading autism service provider in the nation. One in every nine individuals of all ages served by Easter Seals lives with autism.
Our Adult Day Services promote health, happiness, independence and safety by providing individuals more opportunities for access, inclusion and choice.
Easter Seals strongly believes that creating a community where children with and without disabilities live, learn and play together strengthens the community as a whole. Our inclusive and respite summer camp program provides participants with a day camp experience while providing an option for full time summer care. Year –round programming is available to individuals with disabilities; allowing participants to have fun while learning skills. Activities are planned for weekdays, weekends, afternoons and evenings.
Afterschool Respite Programs are available for individuals ages 7-21 with disabilities. The afterschool programs provide participants with a safe, fun place to go afterschool, while allowing caregivers to continue to work.
Easter Seals Southeast Wisconsin is a contracted Care Management Unit for Milwaukee County Department of Family care. We are responsible for monitoring the long term care needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and older adults who receive support services in Milwaukee County. We ensure that individuals have the appropriate levels of support services to live as safely and independently as possible.
Our Corporate Guardianship program provides a caring, professional service that goes beyond the legal requirements of guardianship. We provide advocacy for clients best interests; responsible decision making for medical financial, personal and social needs. We are a member of the National Guardianship Association.
