Company Overview
Complete Packaging Solutions Since 1959
Colbert Packaging was founded in 1959 when Charles Colbert purchased the property and assets of Kroeck Paper Box, a Chicago company founded in 1892. Today, Colbert Packaging remains a family-owned company and offers one of the most comprehensive, diverse and inventive portfolios of packaging solutions in the industry. Our three manufacturing facilities produce high-quality custom folding cartons, rigid setup boxes, pressure-sensitive roll labels, package inserts, compliance packaging, sustainability and security solutions, and much more.

Quality Products
Colbert Packaging has earned a solid reputation for excellence by producing only the highest quality packaging solutions. A company-wide commitment to delivering high-quality products is demonstrated in each step of the production process. It is reflected in Colbert’s newer and well-maintained production equipment – some of the best available on the market – and a continued investment in new technologies. It can also be found in Colbert’s strict cGMP policies and procedures, experienced personnel, and a best-in-class quality assurance program.

A Family Tradition
Nancy Colbert MacDougall is chairman of the board of Colbert Packaging. The daughter of the company's founder, the late Charles Colbert, Nancy has risen up the ranks of Colbert Packaging over the past four decades. She joined Colbert Packaging in 1975, working as an estimator until 1980. From 1980 until 1995, she served as the assistant to the then-chairman, Charles Colbert. In 1995, Nancy was appointed executive vice president, overseeing all HR functions. In October 2009, she was named the company’s chairman of the board. Nancy is a “people person” with a longstanding commitment to ensuring Colbert’s family-oriented corporate culture, and she continues to manage Colbert Packaging’s personnel functions today. Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Lawrence University, Canton, New York, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated cum laude in 1974. She continued her education in the religion history doctoral program at Princeton University.
