Web Courseworks (WCW) is a full-service eLearning company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. We have been working with educational technology to improve learning since 1979 and have spent the past ten years focusing specifically on eLearning by providing a hosted learning management system solution, web-based collaborative authoring software, and custom course and game building services.

We continue to develop and benefit from our unique position as an eLearning company focused on providing systems and content development. Our instructional designers use our own tools to author, launch and track content, and their perspective as end users in turn fuels and shapes the next round of software development.

Our work in software as a service (saas) learning management incorporates content in the framework of our CourseStage LMS – a learning portal informed by the higher-education model and utilizing eLearning tools such as quizzes, exams, learner self-assessments, discussion forums, and certifications. We are focused on ensuring that CourseStage becomes the learning management system of choice among associations for certification and compliance training.

Our approach to course design is informed by adult learning theory and focuses on the learner. We develop a thorough understanding of the learning preferences of each client’s target audience, and then use that information to shape the overall design approach.

Global Reach

Since our establishment in 1999, Web Courseworks has gained a national presence in both the LMS and custom course development spaces. Web Courseworks has since further pushed those boundaries into international markets by actively pursuing projects and winning work with such organizations as the World Anti-Doping Agency based in Canada for which Web Courseworks mantains two Learning Management portals for Olympic Athletes elite and coaches and has translated and published their projects in over 10 languages.
