Dr. Comfort was developed when several board certified Podiatrists' met with a custom shoe designer, Rick Kanter. Mr. Kanter has over 25 years of experience designing and manufacturing shoes. The feeling was that most extra depth shoes did not have the proper last for the needs of the diabetic patient. Mr. Kanter worked for over nine months to develop a last that was full in the forefoot and toe area and narrow in the heel to avoid heel slippage. We at Dr.Comfort believe that our unique lasts make our shoes the best fitting and best looking in the medical industry. Our goal at Dr. Comfort is to provide the diabetic patient the finest quality, best fitting, and best looking diabetic shoes in the world.
