Position Summary: 

The primary responsibility of this position is the operation of our Amada Ensis 3015 AJ Laser by running batch programs to cut curb parts our of sheet metal, while ensuring time efficiency, quality, and accuracy of cut parts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Safe operation of our Amada Ensis 3015 AJ Laser and various other tools used to complete project.  
• Effectively manage the batch schedule to ensure all jobs are being completed in a timely manner. 
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality. 
• Follow and enforce all CDI safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure equipment is properly set-up & used in a safe manner & that all safety devices are in use.
• Operate forklift to load sheet metal palates onto laser feeder.
• Performs inspections on product before, during, and after the build following CDI’s standards.
• Monitor functionality of equipment and tools and request maintenance when required.
• Perform basic and preventative maintenance and repair as required.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors & other production staff to coordinate work schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$18.50 - $22.00/hour with performance increases every 6 months!

Work Schedule:

1st Shift - Monday - Friday - 5:30am - 3:30pm

2nd Shift - Monday - Friday - 12:00pm - 8:30pm

3rd Shift - Sunday - Thursday - 5:00pm - 2:30am

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Clean drug test
• Minimum 1-year experience of Laser/Plasma cutting, or equivalent. (Amada Laser experience preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of fabrication machinery, electrical equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Read and understand work orders and job schedules.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to effectively read, write and speak the English language.
• Ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat and lift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently & lift 70 pounds occasionally.
