RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Deliver curriculum, monitor, and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
  2. Effective management of the classroom and/or laboratory.
  3. Promote and engage in student recruitment, retention and completion goals fostering a culture of professionalism and inclusive learning.
  4. Monitor and assess student learning outcomes and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance.
  5. Participate in advisory and/or institutional committees.
  6. Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in field and/or discipline.
INSTRUCTION PROGRAM SPECIFIC
  • Develop relationships with business and industry.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related field AND 2 years (4,000 hrs) Occupational experience as a Diesel Technician
OR
  • Associate Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related field AND 8000 hours (4 years full-time) of paid documentable occupational experience as a diesel technician 
OR  
  • 14,000 hours as a Diesel Technician
AND
  • ASE Master Technician Certification 
(please attach documentation of certifications at time of application) 

*Included in the above experience, at least 2,000 hours of demonstrated relevant occupational experience must be within the last five years OR at least 2 years of full-time (8 semesters of part-time) post secondary teaching experience in the occupational field must be within the last five years.

·      Out-of-Network: $1,500 Individual/$3,000 Family, Office Visits – $40.00 Copay; then 80% coinsurance after deductible

SHORT TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE (The Standard)
      Optional plan available to employees working 20 or more hours per week. Deduction taken biweekly.
 
LONG TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE (The Standard)
Ninety (90) day waiting period before benefits become payable. 66 2/3% of salary during period of disability to be reviewed by insurance company at the end of two years.  Premium paid by District.
 
GROUP TERM LIFE INSURANCE & DISMEMBERMENT (SYMETRA)
$1,000 of term life per $1,000 of income. Effective the first of the month following date of hire. Premium paid by District. 
 
WISCONSIN RETIREMENT SYSTEM
The employer pays 6.5% and the employee pays 6.5% of the shares. Normal retirement benefits are based on a formula for retirement at age 65. 
 
IRS SECTION 125 PLAN (Employee Benefits Corp.)
Employee can put pre-tax money into an account to be used toward medical/day care expenses – Flexible Spending Account. Maximum $2,850 for medical; $5,000 for childcare.

CAMPUS SHUT-DOWN:  The campus will be closed between  Christmas & New Year's Day.
