Job Summary:


Supervises and coordinates activities of team members engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and facilities on assigned shift.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supervises and directs team members on assigned shift in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assists in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery, equipment, and facilities. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists in solving work problems. Handles unusual or difficult inquiries/situations through direct personal action or refers to appropriate individual.
  • Schedules and assigns responsibilities for preventive maintenance on assigned shift, working within established deadlines and objectives, production schedules, and budgets. Oversees, or participates in, PM, reviews work for compliance of machinery conformance to production and safety specifications.
  • Schedules and assigns work for projects assigned to shift team.
  • Interacts and confers with supervisors and management to coordinate shift activities, resolve machinery issues, and meet production goals. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. Researches and requests order of parts. Plans requisitions within budget controls.
  • Prepares reports for work orders, PM, costs, etc. Maintains time and maintenance records.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Scope of Responsibility:

  • Somewhat independent; work frequently done independently by following standard practices and procedures while occasionally having work checked.
  • Supervisory Responsibility
  • Directly supervises 10 employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Lance policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimal Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or 3 + years related experience and/or technical or vocational training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints, varying writing style to meet needs and or speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Ability to manage project team and communicate changes and progress.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Develops and coordinates projects, project plans, and completes projects on time and within budget.
  • Computer Skills: MS Suite, Spreadsheet software, and Internet software.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.

Work Environment:
Production floor noise level may require ear plugs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$61,800-$97,800

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
