Duties and Responsibilities
— Carries out experiments as instructed by PI. RA will receive training to be able to perform the techniques required to complete the project.

— Monitors inventory of essential lab supplies and order additional supplies when required.

— Prepares solutions, buffers and media.

— Gathers, organizes, enters and analyzes data; perform literature searches on computer and retrieve literature from library.

— Incorporates new information/techniques into experiments with PIs approval.

— Maintains a safe and orderly lab environment. Makes sure lab environment complies with safety regulations.

— Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Education Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Bachelors Degree Experience Required: None Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or related field.

- Ability to communicate verbally

- Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people

- Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established procedures

- Ability to maintain confidentiality

- Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency

- Ability to perform basic filing, office procedures and word processing

- Ability to work as an effective team member

- High standards of integrity
