About the role

Are you passionate about leading innovation and process development in manufacturing? Reckitt is looking for a Technical Manager to guide our large site's endeavours, critical to introducing new Health and Personal Hygiene products. In this pivotal role, you will work with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the seamless launch of groundbreaking products that impact lives. Your expertise will see you fostering the growth of our powerhouse brands through technical mastery and collaborative spirit.

Your responsibilities

•    Effectively lead the Maintenance organization to provide plant maintenance services to enable operations and other functions to meet or exceed business expectations in cost, quality, compliance, safety, culture and capital.
•    Communicates a clear vision for a fully integrated Maintenance team that is aligned with company goals.
•    Provides leadership in the area of plant maintenance through the identification and introduction of innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement.
•    Drives continuous improvement, explores industry trends, develops strategies and drives leading edge technology and innovative solutions in order to develop core areas, new alternatives and relevant strategies.
•    Establishes, aligns and executes capital spending strategies to effectively identify and invest in company assets.
•    Clearly understands the procurement policies and works cross functionally to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
•    Develops staff and builds a high performance team through utilization of a performance management process that sets expectations, ensures ongoing coaching/mentoring and assesses employee performance. Builds a team culture committed to high performance and holds others accountable for the results expected. 
•    Leads projects and teams supporting large scale company initiatives.
•    Experience driving continuous improvement in energy conservation, waste management, recycling and the reduction of water usage.
•    Utilizes analytical, critical thinking and structured root cause analysis techniques for problem solving. 
•    Builds technical competencies within the maintenance team, identifies and selects maintenance talent when needed to support developing technology, and provides opportunities for knowledge acquisition and skills transfer within the team.
•    Effectively control R&M budget for the operation with expectation of meeting monthly and annual budget. This includes developing the annual R&M budget for operation.
•    Accountable for all action items being closed in a timely manner and include CAPA, change control and Safety action items. 
•    Propose and monitor in accordance with the key performance indicators.
•    Monitor plant/equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime.
•    Partner with Production and Quality Management daily to resolve technical and/or operational issues.
•    Establish and manage the yearly, monthly, weekly maintenance plans to ensure essential maintenance is completed within a reasonable time.

The experience we're looking for

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.  MBA or other advanced degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Minimum of 7-10 years in Plant Maintenance roles supporting manufacturing and/or utility operations.
•    Successful experience in managing or leading maintenance teams including reliability centered programs.
•    Successful experience in managing people in a dynamic environment and a proven track record of developing people.
•    Experience within a highly regulated environment required.
•    Strong knowledge in areas of asset optimization, life cycle management, and project management. 
•    Knowledgeable in areas of regulatory requirements and equipment system qualification and validation.
•    Significant experience in powder and liquid processing and packaging of food products, preferably within a highly regulated food or pharmaceutical environment.
•    Knowledge of engineering and maintenance concepts and industry technology, project management, reliability practices, financial management as it relates to capital/expense spending, MRO, CMMS, etc.  Understanding of manufacturing processes and mastery knowledge of utility sustainability, power supply and demand.

US salary range

USD $104,000.00  -  $156,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
