Job Description
Steelwind is looking for a skilled Shipping & Receiving / Materials Handler to join our growing team!
Competitive pay range of $13-17/hour, depending on the candidate's level of experience. 
1st shift (7 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday). Overtime available.
Complete benefits package offered!!

This position involves all aspects of the Shipping & Receiving department. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

 
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to load/unload and move material through the manufacturing process (parts 50-100,000 LBS.)
  • Load and unload trucks making sure that all corresponding paperwork matches freight
  • Identify parts, verify and make sure they are ready for shipment
  • Responsible for making sure the parts being shipped meet all the requirements on the shop order
  • Mark up, band and palletize parts for shipment using standard or customized pallets
  • Follows company policies and procedures
  • Have a understanding of all work instructions appropriate to the position
  • Other job duties as assigned

    Requirements:
     
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • Blueprint reading a plus
  • Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions
  • Must be able to interact with others
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience required
  • Must be able to work in different weather conditions
