Drivers are responsible for transporting Marquette students, staff, employees, and affiliates of the university. The driver is an ambassador for the university as well as a representative of the Department of Campus Safety. While conducting transports, drivers will also observe and report any suspicious or illegal activity that they may witness.

*This position has rotating weekend shifts where twice a month you would be required to work one full shift on Friday OR Saturday from 5:00pm – 3:00am. *
Duties and Responsibilities
  • As a valued member of our Campus Safety department you will be in charge of ensuring your passengers are transported safely across campus.
  • You will be required to be driving around campus during your entire shift and listening to your radio for new dispatched calls.
  • You will have the responsibility to pick up callers as they are dispatched to you.
  • You will be required to map out where you will take your current passengers and identify the best route to pick up your new passengers.
  • Our drivers maintain focus and transport passengers safely to their destinations.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Wisconsin Drivers License with a Good Driving Record
  • Ability to multi-task and think creatively
  • Friendly demeanor and interest with working on a college campus
  • Good memorization skills to learn campus and become familiar with the addresses and buildings withing the boundaries of our L.I.M.O boundaries
  • Must be comfortable with driving in all Wisconsin Weather Conditions
