Position Summary:
The Vascular Technologist performs a full range of vascular exams, using a variety of equipment and modalities including ultrasound and testing.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree in Ultrasound or

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Vascular Tech (RVT)(ARDMS) upon hire or Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI) RVS upon hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
An ability to work in a past paced environment where prioritization, organizational and teamwork skills are essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Cross-trains to other divisions of CV Services.
  • Demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors and alignment. Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness.
  • Documents accurately and completely.
  • Performs routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.
  • Perform a variety of vascular ultrasound exams, according to physician orders and standing protocols.
  • Rotate to off-site mobile locations to serve patients with local testing availability
  • Take call during rotating holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Proper cleaning of equipment and rooms between patients
  • Document appropriately to accurately communicate with physicians on patient history and exam findings.
