Summary of Responsibilities

Develop and promote the sale of West Bend's product lines through independent agents in assigned territory. Drive profitable growth to the company. Develop and maintain short and long-range plans that support corporate objectives. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with our valued independent agency partners. Train new agents on West Bend's product lines, technology, and company philosophies. Negotiate new and renewal business directly with Agent and Underwriter. Conduct agency performance evaluation. Monitor and maintain quality of agency force; prospecting new agents and terminating unprofitable or low volume producing agencies.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• 5+ years commercial multi-line underwriting and/ or sales experience
• Knowledge of Key Independent Agency Partners within Central OH (primarily Columbus and surrounding counties)
• Knowledge of industry technology
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Education and Training

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Insurance or related field
• Valid agent's license
• Associate in Underwriting, CIC, or CPCU designation
