Job Description

Our Energy Solutions Division is searching for our next Director, Marketing Business Unit to help deliver impactful marketing to our consumers. This Director will lead an energetic team in growing our home standby and energy storage business. The role is based out of our corporate headquarters and would have the opportunity to be remote up to two days per week.

Position Description

Plans and guides the marketing and communications strategies of the Energy Solutions business unit. Represents the team to customers, partners, agencies, and peers in other business segments and senior management. Engages in strategic planning and execution of the allocation of work in complex business processes. Reports the team's work to management and manages employee performance and professional development.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Participates in strategic and long-term planning for a specific business segment.

  2. Develops and delivers strategic information, perspective and guidance on emerging issues affecting current business strategies to senior management as it relates to the function.

  3. Lead the creative process to produce high impact sales and marketing communications, managing projects through internal and external design and content resources.

  4. Works directly with key stakeholders in the sales, product management and channel marketing teams to develop and execute product marketing strategies and support marketing initiatives.

  5. Leads market-driven, consumer focused processes to help various business units increase sales and profit.

  6. Generate and nurture end user leads using advertising, publicity, digital marketing strategies based on data from analytical tools. Build brand awareness and customer preference for company brands and products.

  7. Generate and nurture new dealer and installer candidates, working with sales and using advertising and other communications strategies.

  8. Direct social media efforts on various networks including Instagram, Facebook Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. and manage partnerships with social media influencers.

  9. Measures effectiveness of marketing programs working with internal and external marketing analytics and research resources

  10. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

  11. Interacts regularly with executives and/or major customers.

  12. Directs the work of groups of employees (leads through managers).

  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in broad Marketing principles, practices, etc.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop short and long term strategic plans

  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with a wide variety of individuals at all levels

  • Ability to successfully influence outcomes without direct control

  • Ability to forecast and develop budgets

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Related field
Experience Requirements
  • At least 10years of related experience

  • Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience

  • Familiarity with home improvement and/or clean energy products

  • Experience working with dealers, installers and contractors

  • Ability to travel domestically as needed
