Job Description

In this role you'll support all value streams and departments in the manufacturing and assembly of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical sub-assemblies. Implement operational improvements and helps develop solutions that solve quality and reliability problems measured by customer and internally rated metrics such as on-time-delivery, QPPM, first pass yield, and inventory turns. You'll leverage all that hands on experience in your background and put it to good use helping us to please our customers and gain new ones.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports quality team in the timely resolution of corrective actions.
  • Drives quality and reliability performance improvements.
  • Provides investigative and technical support for supplier/internal/customer initiated corrective action and non-conformance related activities.
  • Collaborates with process owners and team members to manage corrective action databases, generate responses to the appropriate parties, and drive corrective actions to completion within due date.
  • Contributes to monthly reports on corrective activities.
  • Assists with internal audit program management.
  • Supports RMA, MRB, and FAI technical and clerical activities as required.
  • Performs support and/or database management activities for the quality team as required.
  • Composes & updates Operational Method Sheets & other documentation.
  • Design, develop, specify, research, build and/or implement fixtures in support of new and existing assembly builds.
  • Work with teams to ensure technicians are properly trained on assemblies and have adequate work Instructions.
  • Assists in the assessment of supplier performance and works with Materials Dept. (and others) to manage and eliminate trending supplier problems, establish supplier qualifications criteria, and develop working relationships.
  • May develop written reports for supplier visits, analyze, report back to affected company management on defined corrective action plans, and facilitate execution; help with the duties of production and quality control supervising.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-4 years relevant work experience; B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or other engineering degree.
