General Job Description
Strong organizational and problem solving skills to assist in managing the Chiller production department and supporting areas to operate in an efficient manner, making frequent, random quality checks.  Interacting with Material Control Department, Production Supervisor, Quality, Engineering and Maintenance Departments. Good math and communication skills are a necessity for successful job performance of the job.  Performs other duties as required. 
Education Level Required
High School diploma or equivalent.  Computer skills, and able to become First Aid Certified.
 
       
Experience or Training Required
Requires reading, writing, adding, subtracting and following instruction.  Ability to operate manual hand trucks.
Essential Job Functions (the fundamental job duties)
  1. Thorough understanding of Chiller production line and production schedule.
  2. Coordinate the necessary parts to assembly line to ensure that the line operates in an efficient manner.
  3. Capability of managing production orders and completing them per the published schedule.
  4. Provide assistance to the supervisor by managing moment-to-moment issues associated with the department. 
  5. Assist quality control by catching errors prior to EOLT, working with the supervisor on long-term corrective actions.
  6. Makes frequent random quality checks.
  7. Interacts with Production Control Department, Production Supervisor, Quality Control Department, Engineering, and Maintenance Departments.
  8. Fill in as Department Supervisor in the absence of the Production Supervisor.
  9. Reports improper equipment operation and defective materials to the Production Supervisor.
  10. Records time and production.
  11. Works eight-hour shift concurrently with other plant operations.  Periodic, daily, and weekend overtime as production schedules demand. 
  12. Responsible for managing daily house cleaning activities.
  13. Assist with training new/transferred employees as required.
  14. Other essential functions may be assigned.
 
 
Marginal Job Functions (not fundamental job duties)
 
  1. Coordinate with sub-assembly areas regarding production needs.
  2. Function as a team member on continuous production needs.
  3. Other duties may be assigned.
