What you will accomplish as a Planning Analyst at TAPCO:

The Planning Analyst will evaluate and analyze data from the ERP system, sales pipeline, and available inventory quantities to improve processes and forecast production. This role will help define the strategy for the end-to-end fulfillment process in the diverse businesses of TAPCO. This role will support the highly configured order, distribution, and project and service-driven divisions. This position reports to the Planning Manager.

Position Qualifications:

  • Evaluates and analyze historical demand data to set buffers and trigger levels for parts to support lead time goals on configured parts.
  • Manages forecast realization in ERP to capture near-future demand, finished goods ATP, and growing product line volumes.
  • Assists in determining inventory levels to support the manufacturing plan, on-time delivery, and inventory goals through periodic review and process ownership of Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Works closely with engineering and project managers on Intelligent Warning Systems (IWS) and custom orders for new and emerging product lines. Attends gate meetings.
  • Assists in identifying supply chain requirements and improvements. Determines material need dates for purchasing constrained items and prioritizes production.
  • Confers with sales operations and management to communicate planned production and delivery dates. Maintains lead time accuracy in relation to the machine, material, and manpower issues.
  • Participates in new product launches to ensure production readiness and transition which supports proper inventory depletion or obsoletion.
  • Reports weekly/monthly on on-time delivery, IWS sales projections, production schedule status, pending non-conforming and constrained materials, inventory levels, and other key department indicators.
  • Backs up production planners as necessary
  • Follows all company safety rules.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, operations management, and/or commensurate on-the-job experience
  • 6 years' experience in production control or materials management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel and ERP software required
  • Experience with BC (Business Central)/NAV (Navision) ERP System a plus
  • Strong data analysis and report-generating experience required
  • Must reside in Wisconsin
