Job Summary
Support the Commercial Real Estate Relationship Managers (RM's) and manage a portfolio of clients with respect to deposit administration. Open accounts, verify and process changes to existing accounts, answer client questions, and resolve related account issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Play a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience during every interaction. Focus on building solid and long-lasting relationships by engaging all customers in a positive manner. Identify cross-sell opportunities and recommend appropriate banking products and services. Understand the end-to-end process for sales, service, and implementation. Exercise good judgment and apply sound decision-making skills. Foster teamwork by creating and maintaining strong morale; cooperate with team members to resolve problems and achieve goals. The candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Accountabilities

  • Open accounts, verify and process changes to existing accounts, answer client questions, and resolve related account problems to ensure customer satisfaction. Prepare all documents and paperwork, assist customers with signing documents necessary to complete transactions, receive initial deposits and/or transfer funds from existing accounts or prepare sight draft to obtain funds.
  • Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship complies with established Associated Bank credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • Enroll customers to enable their usage of all technologies central to maximizing convenience and accessibility.
  • Take ownership in preparing and setting up clients with Wire Transfer capabilities. Monitor and maintain of all related functions required per the Associated Bank Wire Transfer Policy.
  • Work closely with Treasury Management and facilitate customer setup for related products.
  • Serve as liaison between customer, Treasury Management and Financial Intelligence Division with respect to fraud incidents; assist with and monitor documentation and maintain account freezes as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and recognize referral opportunities throughout Trust, Business Banking, Private Banking, and Retail Departments.
  • Prepare and deliver all teller transactions for Commercial Real Estate Department.
  • Review account analysis statements as provided by CDTM and take appropriate follow-up action.
  • Place and maintain all collateral holds.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline Required
Experience
  • 2-4 years Years of experience in CRE or commercial/retail banking. Required
  • 2-4 years Working knowledge of deposit policies and procedures. Required
  • 2-4 years Knowledge of DDA products in commercial and retail banking. Required

Compliance Statement
Fully complies with all applicable enterprise policies and procedures. Acts in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as outlined in training materials, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act. Responsible for reporting suspicious activity to Financial Intelligence. Responsible to report all customer complaints as prescribed and procedure violations to management or HR. Responsible to report ethical concerns as needed to Associated's anonymous Ethics Hotline.
