Job Description

Are you interestedin the growing field of Electrification? This is your chance to be part of an exciting and fast paced opportunity in new product development's supply chain. We are looking for a high energy individual to join our sourcing team and make an impact on the future of our business. This individual contributor role will lead sourcing activities withinassigned project teams through collaborative work with Engineering and Suppliers to achieveinnovative and cost effective solutions. The position is based out of our corporate office in Wauwatosa with the opportunity for remote two days per week.

Position Description

Plans, monitors, and achieves new product development goals set forth by the supply chain management team. Supports new product development as it relates to purchasing activities for systems and parts ranging from supplier selection, cost modeling and project management. Tracks and effectively communicates timelines associated with any issues that arise during the new product development process they are managing.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develops and executes supply chain project plans for new product development projects

  2. Solves complex problems and identifies innovative solutions related to supplier issues and purchased components

  3. Assesses supplier related risk and proactively manages risk and escalates when necessary

  4. Works closely with sourcing, procurement and NPD project teams to ensure alignment and execution of sourcing activities that support sustainable results

  5. Negotiates with suppliers and internal stakeholders to impact positive outcomes

  6. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements
  • Proven track record in new product development purchasing techniques of early supplier integration, competitive quoting, cost reduction, risk management, sourcing decisions, capacity planning, critical supplier identification, negotiating commercial agreements, should costing/target costing

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with and motivate a diverse group of people

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive and deliver results

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field OR combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in new product development and/or supply chain

  • Ability to travel, likely up to 15%
