Position Description

Performs a variety of simple engineering assignments to promote the safe and compliant use of products; ensures compliance with government standards and adoption of industry standards. Monitors that products have been reviewed, tested and assessed against compliance with Federal, State and International standards, product compliance, emission regulations, and/or product safety best practices.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Performs regulatory reviews during design and prior to production to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and monitors emission performance of existing products compared to regulatory standards
  2. Assists in the development of strategies and risk assessments to meet compliance standards and regulations
  3. Assists in reviewing messages and content in label design, communication reviews, technical publications, marketing displays and operating manuals
  4. Researches global compliance standards and regulations for team
  5. Assists in the development of standards
  6. Participates in team product incident investigations and emission audit reviews
  7. Under guidance certifies engines and equipment to meet relevant standards, and produces routine compliance reports for government agencies
  8. Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
  • Awareness of regulations and industry standards
  • Familiarity with the design, control and incorporation of compliance strategies
  • Fundamental knowledge of outdoor power equipment
  • Basic planning, organizational, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a related field preferred
