Software Engineer - C# -NetFull Time - Remote What will I be responsible for in this job? (brief summary of the role)
  • Contribute substantially to design, implement, test, and maintain complex systems
  • Exercise judgment to achieve defined objectives and recognize when external input is beneficial
  • Consistently apply knowledge to solve engineering problems of varying complexity and scope
  • Demonstrate leadership in code and product direction


What are the requirements?

  • Solid understanding of OOP principles
  • Experience using WCF, ASP.NET and MVC or Web API
  • Experience building unit tests, preferably using TDD.
  • At least 3 years of development experience utilizing C# with the .NET Framework
  • At least 3 years of experience in an R&D/IT Environment
  • Previous experience working in an Agile development environment


Education:

4-year degree in computer science or related field or demonstrated equivalent understanding and ability.


What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?

  • At least 3 years of development experience utilizing C# with the .NET Framework
  • Previous experience working in an Agile development environment


What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Technical skills:

  • Solid understanding of OOP principles
  • Experience using WCF, ASP.NET and MVC or Web API
  • Experience with and understanding of web development technologies and concepts such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON and REST
  • Experience with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
  • Experience building unit tests, preferably using TDD.
  • Experience building queries in SQL, preferably PL/SQL.
  • Experience using source control, preferably Git.
  • Experience deploying software on the Windows platform both standalone and through IIS.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and development of healthcare software
  • Experience with and understanding of software design and architecture using Dependency Injection and DI containers such as Castle Windsor.
  • Experience using Oracle and ODP.NET
  • Experience working with AngularJS.
  • Experience with Windows Installer Technology (MSI) and building software installation packages.
  • Experience with TeamCity and continuous integration.
  • Experience with Powershell.
