Job Description

You will implement and support manufacturing process that result in high-quality products. You will investigate alternative solutions for given projects, develops cost information for each, and recommends the best solution to the department head. This job requires being immersed in a manufacturing facility and driving improvements in it.

You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze manufacturing problems and develop alternative solutions.
  • Specifies equipment to satisfy manufacturing needs and designs custom equipment when items are not commercially available.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance services and ensure manufacturer's procedures and best industry practices are followed to maximize machine OEE.
  • Analyze/plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Design and implement fixtures and special application tools to increase efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes.
  • Implement new product launch and change order activities to ensure the plant builds what is intended by Design Engineering.
  • Perform audits and support activities related to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
  • Support and remain committed to plant safety.
  • Support manufacturing with understanding and application of various plant-specific software including Solid Edge, AutoCAD, SAP, MP-2, and RADAN software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

o B.S. in Mechanical Engineering preferred

  • 0+ years Engineering experience
  • Entry level - will train.

Physical Job Requirements:

The physical job requirements for the position of Manufacturing Engineer include being able to do the following:

  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for less than 4 hours per day.
  • Walk for less than 4 hours per day.
  • Sit for more than 4 hours per day.
  • Occasionally grasp items with either hand.
