Job Description

Join our fast growing Energy Solutions Division as a Sr. Financial Analyst.The analyst provides financial support for the Energy Solutions business through accurate and timely financial reporting, financial analysis, and process improvements. You'll beinvolved in all parts of the P&L interacting with all areas of the business - engineering, marketing, operations, research & development and sales; in addition to the opportunity to have exposure to senior leadership.

Position Description

Supports the Energy Solutions business unit through leading and performing complex financial planning and analysis functions such as financial modeling, weekly and monthly P&L forecasting, annual budgeting process, analysis and reporting of month-end results, and other profitability improvement analyses as required.

Job Responsibilities

1.Develops financial models to streamline processes and help make informed business decisions

2.Analyzes the cost base and communicates findings to enable management to make informed business decisions and take action to drive profitability improvements

3.Reviews general ledger account postings for accuracy throughout the month and corrects root causes of errors and performs real time analyses to understand activity.

4.Completes financial analyses and bridges on month-end results

5.Prepares complex reports daily, weekly and monthly which may include but not be limited to sales, inventory, production, raw material purchasing and cost of quality.

6.Continuously improves processes to eliminate waste

7.Identifies and recommends improvements for managerial and operational controls.

8.Oversees and guides work of Financial Analysts

9.Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of FP&A
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to review/analyze financial data, substantiate financial statement balances and prepare financial models
  • High ability to identify, measure, evaluate & improve, if necessary, the effectiveness of accounting, financial, managerial and operational controls
  • Strong verbal & written communication & interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of people in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface with all levels
  • Advanced computer skills specifically advanced knowledge of and experience working with spreadsheet software
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects with a strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably with large organizations
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately once per quarter.
  • Experience working in SAP preferred.
  • Experience with Hyperion, BPC or related product preferred.
