The Occupational Health Department of a local medical facility in Milwaukee, WI has immediate day shift Medical Assistant openings available.

As the Medical Assistant you will work between the Main Campus in Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls, and West Bend Ideal administering IM injections, in a fast-paced environment.
Medical Assistant Assignment Details

• 8-week contract, onsite
• Day Shift: 40 hrs/week
• Compensation: $27/hr
• Location: Milwaukee, WI

Medical Assistant Job Description:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions, and other duties as assigned.
• The medical assistant may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

In addition, individuals must meet one (1) of the following:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate Diploma or Certificate).

• Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials:

a. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
b. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
c. Assessment -Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)

Qualifications

• IM injection experience
• AHA Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
• MA Certification is preferred.
