SUMMARY:

Perform demand and preventive maintenance to structures, equipment, machines, HVAC, and plumbing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installation, repair, rebuilding, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs.
• Make repairs or adjustments to keep equipment in production.
• Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments.
• Read and interpret maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
• Skilled operations such as filing and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts, adjust feed and limit mechanisms, gibs, and ways.
• Installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment
• Maintain building, facilities, and grounds.
• Determine the nature and scope of future projects.
• Record required maintenance logs and files.
• Responsible for routine housekeeping and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of high school education or equivalent.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical repair as may be acquired in a three-year formalized program or five yearsa experience in a related maintenance field.
• Knowledge of electrical repair as may be acquired in a one-year formalized program or 3 yearsa experience in a related electrical field.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and other employees of the organization.
