Overview
Note: This position requires Japanese/English communication skills

Based in San Jose, California, Canon Americas' industrial products division is looking for a Sales Support Specialist.Initially, you will need to understand Canon's full suite of industrial products, particularly Lithography equipment. The ideal candidate will begin their training process learning product knowledge, business operations and strategies.

You will be challenged with developing the skills necessary to effectively communicate with customers and Canon teams in USA and Japan.We will educate you in the navigation of Canon's varied management and internal resource channels, and assist as you learn to develop the strategies necessary to manage and grow accounts.
You will further develop and utilize your strong time management skills to provide consistent accessibility, service, and maximum visibility to both existing and potential customers.Our goal is to train you to become an effective Account Representative whose ultimate objective will be to establish relationships and increase market-share.



This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Mondays and Wednesday* and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Responsibilities
Sales planning:
-Provide main-body sales forecast/production slot request to CINC.
-Make a draft of manufacturing order sheet of main-body and accessory for configuration and
performance specifications & software license with engineers.
-Check the delivery schedule for the main-body with CINC.
-Manage the customer's back-order list for accessory items.
-Arrange international and domestic transportation with the operation team, NY logistics dept. and
appointed forwarders.
-Make a draft of the sales revenue budget.
-Track sales recognition process for budgeting.

Sales support:
-Make a draft of the transaction application form.
-Check the customer's general information (sales revenue, organization, etc.) and future
investment plan.
-Arrange and plan meetings with customers.
-Prepare sales promotion material with marketing staff or engineers.
-Attend sales promotion meetings at customer sites with other sales staff members.
-Record meeting minutes.
-Check customer's inquiries with CINC and make a draft of their response.
-Make a draft of quotations for main-body and accessory items.
-Explain Canon standard machine configuration and performance specs and check the customer demand/requirement
with CUSA engineers.
-Make a draft of our counter-proposal for contracts such as NDA and purchase agreements.
-Arrange the transportation and move-in of main-body machines.
-Follow-up with the installation progress from engineering team.
-Attend the acceptance review meeting for machine signoff.
-Follow-up on the customer payment process.
-Attend exhibitions and explore new sales opportunities.
-Help with managing the customer account management process on Salesforce.
Qualifications
- Requires Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (technical, business, and/or marketing discipline) or equivalent experience,plus 3-5 years of related sales experience.
- B2B sales/business development experience preferred.
- Mindset to communicate with customers closely for business development and build close relationship with customers
- Entrepreneurial mindset to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Proficiency in Japanese language (speak, write, read) required
- Job may require travel in the US 2-4 times in one month (occasionally to Japan)
