Chemist

This position is based in our Dublin, OH laboratory promoting a variety of products within the Local Chemical Distribution business with a specific focus in solvent based chemistries. In this role you will handle technical projects supporting internal and external customers. It will require your ability to apply your technical problem-solving experience to solve our customers technical needs across a broad array of product lines and markets.

• Working directly with our sales team and customers to fully define and solve their technical needs with a persistence in the follow up on details.
• Conducts experimental work with new chemicals and potential products; makes recommendations to management for adoption.
• Provides technical knowledge to the Commercial team and customers regarding special chemical products and related matters as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written, is necessary to communicate effectively
• Proficient organizational skills, with the ability to handle a variety of projects and multi-task responsibilities is crucial.
• Determined drive to seek technical gaps that exist and proactively work to fill the gaps
• Diligent in project work documentation
• Serious about Safety by keeping safety in the forefront of all work

• BS in Science (Chemistry, preferred)
• 5+ years of laboratory experience, (analytical and/or application testing experience, preferred)
• Experience in GC/MS, FTIR instrumentation is a plus.
• Prior experience in chemical distribution and/or solvent based chemistries would be a distinct advantage.
• Must be able to work under Company policies where experience and independent thinking are needed
• Proficiency in software suites (MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and platforms (Sharepoint, SalesForce) is a plus.
