Sales Account Manager - Inside - Pharmaceutical Ingredients

The Inside Sales Account Manageris responsible for building UnivarSolutionsbusiness partnerships andexpanding the portfolio of products and services provided to existing UnivarSolutionscustomers by gaininganunderstanding ofall aspects ofthecustomer's business.

The Inside Sales Account Manager willutilizea consultative sales process to uncover and close new business opportunitiesto meet their financial goal.

This position willrequireeffective territory management and business planning capabilities to execute our strategies to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography.Whileallsales calls are done over the phone, WebEx,or video chat,this is an account executive level sales role and requires a driven self-starter attitude and the ability to work autonomously.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Enhance and expand Univar Solutions position within assigned accounts using a consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account
  • Establish and developcustomer relationships by evaluating needs and opportunities withincustomer accounts and negotiatetoeffectively gain customer commitment.
  • Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer
  • Maintainand expandknowledge of products, services, competitive activities, and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Responsible for setting pricing and service levels, as well as maintaining and coordinating customer quotations.
  • Provide necessary information to allow local teams including Purchasing, and Operations to insure proper inventory levels and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Use accepted Univar SolutionsAccount Managementprocessesandconductcalls via telephone, WebEx or video chattoachieve a financial target.
  • Developand implementbusiness plansto achievefinancialgoals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with otherSales Account Managerteam members to share best practices and drive account growth.
  • Document all account activity in the CRM system (Salesforce.com).
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Position with a proven track record ofhigh performing insidesales successorBachelor's degreefrom fully accredited four-year institution (Technical Science, Chemistry preferred)
  • Experiencein the relationship management ofassigned accountsthrough the development of business partnerships at all levels of the customer's organization including the Executive Team, Operations, R&D, and Purchasing
  • Demonstrates the ability tostrategicallyplan for territorygrowth,includingthe effective completion ofsales callsfor new growth within existingaccounts while protectingthe current customerproducts / service provided by Univar Solutions.
  • Proven performance in the identification ofcompetitor share and developmental opportunities withinassigned customerterritory, andability toprioritize and take action to reach financial targets.
  • Experiencenegotiating and closinglarge, complexopportunitiesas well as meetingthe immediate product and service needs of customers.
  • Strategicbusiness acumen,withthe ability to understand thebusiness relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users ofchemicals/ingredient products
  • Exceptional Discovery andNegotiation skills that allows Univar Solutions to generate theappropriate value for productsand services provided to customers.
  • Strongcommunication skills (written, verbal, listening, presentation)
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com

WHERE YOU'LL WORK:

  • Home-based opportunity - Candidates must be located on the US West Coast.

PAY & BENEFITS:

The salary range for this position is $65,510 - $101.520. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
