This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 daysof employment and training.

Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision.
  • Oversees all aspects of a significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.
  • Develops an action plan and estimates requirements for resources-management, labor, materials, and time required to complete project.
  • Prepares monthly reports, detailing progress and costs for top management.
  • User of CAE tools such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA.
  • Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures, and provides advice on issues within the engineering field.
  • Analyzes and identifies causes of component failures.
  • Capable of providing technical solutions to help solve manufacturing issues or address customer field issues; has some familiarity with multiple operations.
  • Use team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
  • Finish assigned engineering projects in accordance with customer specifications and within schedule and budget limitations, coordinating activities of engineering team, contractors, and vendors.
  • Lead brainstorming activities for specific needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience with new product development projects.
  • At least 5-7 years of related work experience.
  • Experience designing plastic injection molded components.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MRP systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Power Point and AutoCAD.
  • Strongwritten and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of water chemistry a plus.
