In charge of leading one or multiple business and IT projects related to specific business objectives and goals, our Engineering Project Manager manages the overall coordination of projects from idea through value collection. This role ensures that our projects deliver the business value originally targeted, and are completed within the constraints of scope, quality, schedule, and budget. You will also be integrating the work of the teams within the projects to deliver regular status reporting, project-level risk mitigation strategies, and issue management. This position works to create a collaborative environment that supports our company Mission and Vision, applying project management governance, processes, tools, and templates of the Univar Solutions PMO Center of Excellence.

What you are responsible for:

- Planning, integrating, tracking, and leading one or more projects to successful completion.

- Working with other project managers, resource managers, technical staff, and business leaders to direct projects within the program portfolio to ensure they are planned and

implemented in alignment with the overall program strategy and plan.

- Defining and handling overall project risks and taking corrective action in a proactive manner to mitigate those risks.

- Preparing project presentations and status reporting to Director-level and C-level management.

- Developing collaborative working relationships with the business and IT.

Supervisory responsibility
- Management of project team members and oversight of other PMs if needed.

The experience we're looking for:
- Knowledge of distribution or manufacturing business processes and success metrics.

- 3 - 5 years of validated project management experience with at least 3 years in a project management role required.

- 3 years of experience in consulting.

- 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in a business functional area (sales, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, procurement, etc.).

- Prefer experience/exposure to chemical regulatory operations

- Excellent written and verbal skills, strong presentation and meeting management skills.

- Experienced leading at least one large complex project required (10+ team members and multi-million-dollar budget).

- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and relationship management skills.

- Strong ability to function at both a strategic and tactical level.

Education/Training
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

- Skilled with PC and Project Management applications (e.g. MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project, etc.) required.
