Job Description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE. This position will work 40 hours/week. Hours are 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

We are seeking a Chaplain to:

  • Offer non-denominational spiritual care services to patients, families, and staff using your theological and clinical training to help patients and families cope more effectively.
  • Assess the patient's spiritual practices/values and assist in accommodating and integrating these values into the patient's medical plan of care.

Education:

Minimum -

  • Master of Divinity degree or master's level theological degree, provided that it is from a school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)

Preferred -

  • Completion of a 1-year CPE Residency Program in a hospital setting

Work Experience:

Minimum -

  • One (1) year hospital work experience post four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or two (2) years of other relevant experience

Preferred -

  • Two (2) years of work experience post CPE Residency Program in a Level 1 Trauma Center and/or children's hospital
  • Palliative Care experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • Board Certified Chaplain by APC or NACC or NAJC within 2 years of start date

Preferred -

  • Board Certified Chaplain by APC or NACC or NAJC
