This Electrical Engineering IV role will architect and validate battery and system behaviors and features, along with conducting safety system integration. To be successful in this role, you will perform and lead a variety of very complex engineering duties to design, plan, and oversee the design and development of electric/electronic devices and systems applied to new or existing products.The technology and power source options are changing in the commercial marketplace. Job Responsibilities

  1. Designs and troubleshoots electrical/electronic assembliesand systems
  2. Conduct System Architecture and validations.
  3. Will work on safety systems and conduct system integration
  4. Conduct SW/Electrification verifications
  5. Develop standard work in functional test designs
  6. Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties
  7. Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to Concept Analysis, Business Case, product development, pre-production and post-launch steps
  8. Recommends methods of manufacturing during the design of new products, design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies
  9. Partners with other departments to help drive business decisions
  10. Recommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary.
  11. Develops engineering test standards
  12. Acts as a liaison between other departments as necessary
  13. May perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
  14. Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge and use of electrical/electronic control circuits and systems
  • Excellent understanding of electrical/electronic components and their uses in various power systems
  • CAN Bus experience
  • Prior product development experience
  • Prior diagnostic experience
  • Experience leading component design reviews
  • Excellent knowledge of appropriate standards and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of of applicable technologies and/or products
  • Excellent communication skills to explain designs and logic used
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field
Experience Requirements
  • Seven years of professional engineering experience
