Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Operations Assistant - Inpatient Nursing to:

  • Provide daily support to the department, including compliance validation, supply ordering, and processing employee change requests.
  • Review payroll to ensure accuracy and policy compliance and prepares reports for Nurse Manager.
  • Coordinate inpatient clinical staff schedules, both day-to-day maintenance and on-going postings.

Education:

Minimum - High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred - Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - One year of experience in an administrative support role

Preferred - Three years of experience in an administrative support function. Previous experience in a health care setting.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills. Experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet software programs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, department administrative staff, interdepartmental contacts and the general public.
  • Ability to plan and organize the workflow in a busy office/unit environment and be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be flexible in response to changing demands.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work under pressure.
  • Resourceful in problem solving, initiative and good judgment.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is scheduled to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 am and 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based upon the operational needs of the department.
