Job Details



Responsibilities include:

1. Responsible for project management, process development and documentation.
2. Support production in terms of developing and procuring fixtures and tooling.
3. Implement cost reductions, methods improvement and cellular manufacturing.
4. Assist with equipment justification and implementation.
5. Maintain routings and standard production costs.
6. Assemble and train teams in improvement processes.
7. Kaizen facilitator - identify, lead and execute continuous improvement projects.
8. Calculate, justify and recommend capital improvements.
9. Optimize processes through ERP system integration.
10. Industrial Engineering - plans and oversees layout of equipment, office and production facilities. Conducts studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization. Ensures facility efficiency and workplace safety.
11. Serve on NPD teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
12. Design product packaging and oversee testing activities.
13. Manage assembly area - Create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees; Promote a quality mindset in employees; Execute assembly production schedule to meet monthly financial goals; Manage training of assembly and materials personnel to maintain quality; Review employee performance; Reporting labor efficiency/ratio, velocity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience;
  • plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in Fabrication and/or Electro Mechanical Assembly
  • Strong ERP understanding.
