Provide Engineering design and technical support to all facets of the plant operation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacturing Engineering (30%)
Directs and coordinates equipment installation.
Plans and initiates process changes in casting, machining, injection molding and assembly of process equipment.
Participate in the bid and quotation process for capital equipment expenditures.
Perform limited plant engineering functions in Milwaukee plant.
New Product (20%)
Sources and leads purchasing process for machine components from outside vendors.
Monitor new product PAP process for new product initiatives in brass and plastics work centers.
Lean (20%)
Develop methods and procedures for testing products and systems.
Assists in developing O.S. vendors to capture data and provide useful analytics for process improvement and failure analysis.
Develop and promote continuous improvement projects, large and small, for both equipment and part processing.
Create 3D models for equipment installation, work-holding fixtures and test equipment. (20%)
Utilize SolidWorks, and other software, as appropriate, to create and develop support tools.
Conduct FEMA and other analysis to achieve "right the first time" solutions.
All other duties as assigned (10%)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
2+ years of Manufacturing experience
1+ years of SolidWorks/CAD experience
Preferred:
Participation in foundry educational foundation
Metals Processing Technology Minor
2+ years of SolidWorks/Pro-E/CAD experience
2+ years of Plastic Injection molding tool design
