Description:
Responsibilities:
Generate and facilitate the completion of corrective actions (internal, supplier, and customer-driven).
Perform assessments on customer-returned items and facilitate the completion of RMA.
Execute shop-wide random surveillances to verify proper implementation of various quality and production procedures and work instructions.
Perform internal and supplier audits in accordance with approved schedules.
Appraise existing quality processes, develop and revise quality system procedures, and execute training as necessary.
Complete First Article/Initial Sample Inspection activities, as required.
Facilitate Lean and continuous improvement activities throughout the shop.
Authorities:
Create and lead cross-functional teams
Direct inter-departmental personnel to perform essential activities.
Impose deadlines for corrective actions
Observe and assess the performance of sales, production, engineering, and quality functions that affect product quality.
Recruit, train, and assign internal auditors
Contact, audit, impose corrective action on suppliers
Recommend revisions to procedures and work instructions
Access to company costs and supplier data, as necessary, to perform responsibilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1. Associate's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
2. Internship or 1+ year of Quality Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
3. Experience with Corrective Actions and Documentation
4. Ability to multi-task, be flexible and work outside of the box
5. Understand quality concepts
6. Experience with inspection, documentation
