Job Description
Germantown Mutual Insurance Company is looking to add an experienced Claims Representative to its Claims department!  This is an ideal role for someone with 3+ years of claims adjusting experience who would enjoy being a key contributor in a solid company with a great reputation.  Depending on location and experience, we are able to offer a flexible combination of both in-person and remote work.

JOB SUMMARY
As a Claims Representative, you will adjust moderate to complex property and casualty claims.  With the assistance of Claims Assistants, you will investigate and settle personal, commercial, property and/or casualty claims.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Investigates all lines of claims including personal, commercial, property, and/or casualty as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Secures, preserves, and maintains all evidence necessary to complete a thorough claim investigation in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with departmental expectations.
  • Manages individual claim inventory and collaborates with peers to achieve department results.
  • Communicates directly with customers in a positive, pro-active manner throughout the claim's lifecycle.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & SKILLS
  • Three or more years of property and casualty claims adjusting experience
  • Insurance designation is a plus.
  • Effective oral and written communication, listening, interpersonal, customer service, and telephone skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers, including data entry, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Valid Driver's License
